Teaching music has been my passion for over forty years. I have successfully taught piano to countless students of all ages and abilities. Several of my students have earned degrees in music from major universities and currently work in the field. On the other hand, there are students for whom music making is a life-furthering experience in their struggles with autism, cerebral palsy, or ADHD. Most students lie somewhere in between these two extremes.
Overall, I desire that each student I instruct develops a lifelong love of music. And while I strongly believe piano should be fun, a novice needs to realize that it takes enthusiasm, discipline, and practice to succeed: and large quantities of each to excel. I am delighted to say that over these many years many of my former students have grown to become an extended family.
