NSMTA Winners Recital
The Winners Recital is an annual invitation-only student performance featuring the winners of the NSMTA Piano Competition and NSMTA Scholarships. The Winners Recital is held each year in May.

Time: 2:00 p.m.
All participants must confirm participation at the recital by May 8, 2025 by replying to the email sent earlier in the week. In your reply, include the composer and complete title of the piece you will perform. Students are welcome to play a competition piece, but free to play anything of their choice. Winners Recital Guidelines
Eligibility
Participants of the Winners Recital must be established winners of the NSMTA Piano Competition and the NSMTA Scholarship for that academic year.
Winners are announced by the event coordinators post-event and contacted via email to confirm their participation.
Guidelines
Pieces must be performed by memory
Each student may perform only one movement or selection.
Music other than the winning contest selection may be performed, but the chairperson must be notified at least a week ahead of time. This music must also be memorized.
Entrants and guests must arrive before starting time and remain for the entire recital.
Participant Rules
All required pieces must be played from memory. Memorized pieces must be performed in the order listed on the Competition Repertoire list. Incorrect repertoire will disqualify the entrant.
Students are not required to bring printed music with them to the competition.
First place winners may compete again in the same division.
Awards
Trophies will be awarded to all participants.
Photo Consent
Participants must fill out and sign the NSMTA Photo Release Form agreeing to allow use of their photos for NSMTA publicity purposes.
